Since 1908 production has been based at Via Resegone, built between 1908 and 1913, the huge facilities were once located in the countryside, today they lie within the Bovisa neighborhood The plant covers an area of over 23,000sqm, hosting laboratories for the analysis of herbs, for the distillation and quality control, as well as warehouses larger than a football pitch, designed for the maturation and ageing process of liqueurs in oak casks The secret to this unique digestif is the 27 flowers, herbs, roots and plants picked in 4 continents The herbs and spices may include myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, gentian root, red Cinchona bark, galangal, tumeric and saffron These ingredients are infused in a base of grape distilled spirits before ageing for one year in oak barrels Light brown colour with amber hues Its aromas are intense and penetrating, balanced but rich, with a mint top note Aromatic, distinctly medicinal herb character, with overtones of anise and licorice too
